Am I a writer?

Everyone at some point in time has asked themselves "Am I a writer?" and most of them answer "No", or "I don't know" because they don't want to put time and effort into writing and coming up with ideas to write. I honestly don't think that I am a writer because writing isn't my strong suit nor has my interest to continue and practice my writing. Some people I believe though can and have the ability to write proficiently. One of my reasons for my lack of interest in writing was due to me getting off task and distracted a lot when I was younger and not taking the time to comprehend what I was being taught to improve and enhance my skills. In the past I barely made an effort in writing and just did the minimum if possible to just get by and a grade for my writing. I definitely think that if I would have applied my self in the past, then I would've been a more better writer then I am now, most definitely. So no I don't think that I am a writer.

  1. I agree with you EJ, I myself didn't like writing and have had trouble when it comes to writing an essay. I still don't like writing but I feel that I have gotten better overtime.

  3. EJ thank you for sharing. I would definitely say that you are a writer since you do express yourself well in words both in print and verbally. I think as you continue your education and your aging process you will understand what it means to "take yourself seriously" as well as still be able to include the humor that you enjoy expressing. I do enjoy your unique ability to be yourself. Keep yourself open to questioning the world and use your tools to answer some of your own queries--the possibilities are limitless!
